Overview Of Our Company:
Your Office & PA offers telephone answering, reception and virtual office PA services to business.
We are not a call centre. We are a professional team of PA’s who specialise in offering flexible, friendly and interactive virtual phone answering services to suit our customers’ needs.
Most of our customers are just like us, owner managed companies who are passionate about providing a high level of care and customer support, and this often starts with answering the phone correctly.
How We Started:
Your Office & PA started its telephone answering service in 2007. At this time the company was owned by a large international marketing company. The virtual phone answering service was introduced to offer call answering and virtual office PA services to the network of marketing consultants across the UK, many of which were already using a telephone answering service but were dissatisfied with the “call centre” impersonal service they received.
Your Office & PA was formed to offer the consultants a professional and friendly service, using PA’s that they could talk to and get to know as part of their team. A bespoke online system was developed that allowed the PA’s to accurately and quickly log all messages and calls for each consultant, enabling them to easily pick up and respond to their messages.
By early 2008 Gordon Finlay, Managing Director, was asked to look at the potential of launching the Your Office & PA system to businesses outside the marketing consultants network. At this point Sarah Basey joined the team as a marketing and operations manager to work with Gordon to launch the business.
By November 2008 Your Office & PA was growing in customer numbers month by month. Gordon and Sarah felt that the company was being held back by its position as a small concern within a large marketing company. In December 2008 a harmonious management buyout took place and Gordon and Sarah took complete ownership of the company.
Our Company Today:
Gordon and Sarah run the business full time and still work hands-on when required, answering calls and managing the day-to-day work. The business has come along way since there was just the two of them juggling virtual phone answering and PA work with running and developing the business. Although there are no plans to change their hands on approach, these days they’re supported by an Operations Director (Andrew Lee) and Office Manager (Lyann Wilcock) and an excellent team of PA’s, who have been trained to meet their high standards.
Being an owner managed business we have much in common with our customers. We understand the importance of making a good first impression and we understand the value of phone calls from customers or new prospects.
We’re passionate about our business and strive to offer a flexible service that meets the needs of our customers. We don’t believe in “one size fits all” and we work closely with businesses understanding their requirements and training the PA’s to deliver great service.
Our PA’s are recruited from high calibre candidates with experience in office roles. The whole team is based at the company’s offices in Cheshire. All PA’s are trained and supervised by Gordon and Sarah who encourage a “can do” attitude supported by a friendly and professional manner.
